What is Travel Insurance?
Travel Health Insurance is an insurance that protects you against health risks that may occur during your domestic or international travels.

What is the Geographical Scope of Travel Health Insurance?
The region should be selected according to the country of travel. The coverage of this policy is valid for the insured residing in Turkey only when travelling to the countries in the regions specified separately.
-Schengen Countries and the Whole World (Except USA, Canada and Japan)
-Schengen Countries and the Whole World (Including USA, Canada and Japan)

What is the Coverage Amount of Travel Health Insurance?
The limit requested for the Main Coverage is USD 50,000 for the USA, Canada and Japan and EURO 30,000 for other countries.

Main Coverage:
-Outpatient or inpatient treatment expenses in emergency cases
-Transport of the insured for medical reasons
-Transportation of the deceased to the country
-Expenses incurred for burial at the place of death of the insured person

Additional Coverage:
-Cancellation / Interruption of Travel
-Luggage Delay / after 12 hours
-Loss of Passport
-Loss of Baggage (Applicable for airline)
-For amateur skiing

For How Long Can I Get Travel Health Insurance and How Long Does the Coverage Last?

Material Damage Coverage per Vehicle and Accident:
This coverage covers the material damages you cause to the other party. If more than one vehicle is damaged in an accident in which you are at fault, the per-incident coverage is activated.

Health Expenses Coverage per Person and per Accident:
This coverage covers the bodily damages you cause to the other party. Since the number of people in the vehicle is taken as basis here, the coverage varies according to the type of vehicle.

Injury and Death Coverage per Person and per Accident:
In the event that you cause the death of a person as a result of an accident, the coverage provides burial expenses of the deceased and moral compensation to the relatives of the deceased. Injury coverage, on the other hand, covers losses incurred as a result of the other party becoming partially or completely incapacitated as a result of the accident.

For How Long Can Travel Health Insurance Be Obtained and How Long Does the Coverage Last?
Insurance coverage starts with the payment of the entire premium in advance.
The policy can be issued for a minimum period of seven (7) days and a maximum period of one (1) year. The policy premium varies according to this period.
Travel Insurance is also known as "Overseas Travel Insurance" and "Visa Insurance" as it is required by many consulates during Schengen visa application before travelling abroad. Travel Health Insurance is designed to protect you in case of emergency health problems, illness, and cancellation of your travel or loss of luggage.
